7 May 2024 – EyRIS had a great
day hosting an EMBA delegation from William & Mary | Raymond A. Mason School of Business, a distinguished public research university and the 2nd oldest institution of higher learning located in Williamsburg, Virginia. WM’s Executive MBA is designed for focused, driven leaders who are positioned to move into senior executive and C-suite roles.
The delegation was in Singapore as part of their Global Business Immersion program, and had planned to visit a company that has undergone the journey of commercialising and managing the use of AI.
The developmental journey of EyRIS’ role in Singapore’s eye screening AI system was published as teaching case for business students and corporates worldwide by Singapore Management University in Nov 2023 authored by Prof Steven Miller, Dr David Gomulya and Dr Mahima Rao-Kachroo. Subsequently, the article “EyRIS: From the lab to the market” was circulated in March 2024 issue of Asian Management Insights. EyRIS’ unique journey caught the attention of WM School of Business who subsequently sent a request to hold a sharing-session with their EMBA cohort.
Lai Teik Kin, CEO EyRIS who hosted the delegation thanked the WM delegation for making the sharing-session such an interactive engagement with all the exchanges.
