31 Aug 2011 – Through VESALIUS, Nova aims to set a new standard in the Chinese healthcare IT market. Its flagship product was selected by Oasis Healthcare (Oasis) as the HIS platform for their hospital business. This ground-breaking introduction of VESALIUS in China is the first stage for Nova in becoming China’s key HIS supplier where total healthcare expenditures are projected to reach US$480 billion (RM1.4 trillion) by 2018.
The Oasis executive team has converged decades of healthcare and business management expertise. They understand how critical their HIS platform is in deploying the best and most valuable network of international hospitals in China.
According to Dr. Peter Chen, founding partner, the industry has reached its tipping point. “As a physician, I have seen why the demand for healthcare excellence has been growing in China. So after years of managing hospitals and observing trends here and in the USA, I decided to redefine the industry standards by creating OASIS, a full-service luxury hospital where our guests enjoy first class healthcare every day.”
“What makes OASIS so unique is that they’ve designed the optimal healthcare solution. Drawing from the best technologies and business process management techniques “beyond” the healthcare industry ensures the highest level of care and productivity. Of course, cutting-edge medical technology nestled in a luxurious environment is exceptional. But what their guests appreciate most is how dedicated teams manage their most valuable asset: personalized health portfolios,” Dr Chen said.
“When we learned about Oasis and their resolve to deploy the best world-class healthcare network locally, we immediately knew that we had found a splendid partner to spearhead our China strategy,” said Mr. Lai Teik Kin, novaHEALTH CEO.
“The Oasis management team understands how to deliver service excellence and patient satisfaction, the same principles that continue to guide us in making VESALIUS the most valuable HIS solution in empowering the healthcare paradigm shift around the world, ” he added.
As part of the project delivery, Nova shall incorporate a Chinese-language user interface and cater to local billing & third party payor nuances. The OASIS contract was signed with UltraPower, Nova’s partner in China.
