KASIH IBU HOSPITAL IN TABANAN LATEST TO JOIN VESALIUS ECO-SYSTEM

18 Sep 2024 – Tucked away in central Bali, a distance away from the popular tourist hot-spots is Tabanan – capital town of the regency with the same name. This is exact location of where Kasih Ibu Hospital (KIH) chose to site their 4th hospital to serve a regency with a population of half a million.

Over the weekend, KIH Tabanan became the latest addition to the VESALIUS eco-system without any glitches. The roll-out included the whole hospital – inpatient, outpatient and accidents & emergency and also bi-directional HL7 integration to laboratory, PACS and vital signs monitors.

Today the centrally-hosted system serves all 4 KIH hospitals in Bali. The latest 80-bedded KIH Tabanan serves ~500 outpatients daily.

This project demonstrates the benefits of good planning and comprehensive staff training in ensuring the system underwent rapid deployment under the tightest of schedule and without any unwanted surprises.
