4 Dec 2024 – Nova congratulates Kasih Ibu Hospital Group’s flagship hospital in Denpasar, capital of Bali, Indonesia for being validated for Stage 6 of the HIMSS Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM).
The HIMSS EMRAM is a global standard that measures the use of technology to transform healthcare to improve patient safety, care quality and efficiency. Stage 6, on a scale of 0 to 7, indicates significant IT capabilities.
VESALIUS was first implemented in 2018 at the 100-bed Denpasar hospital and formed a core of their operations as it provided for a wide-range of administrative, ancillary support, clinical and nursing modules for the whole hospital. Subsequently in 2024, another 2 hospitals in KIH group namely Saba and Tabanan went LIVE earlier this year.
I remember the KIH journey very well. From the early days, despite the challenges of having to adapt to new workflows and getting clinicians involved in project – the management led by Pak Krishna Duarsa, President of KIH Group and his team never wavered in driving the whole organisation towards his vision of full EMR adoption in KIH. Today, KIH depends on VESALIUS to provide a centralized EMR for the whole group with data shared seamlessly across facilities. Its processes are well documented and adhered to for patient safety – evidenced by the validation by HIMSS. The KIH IT team has flourished as well, to a point where system configuration and trainings conducted internally.
Kudos to Kasih Ibu Hospital, and Nova is proud to be your partner in this journey!
