China Healthcare Company to Partner Nova

May 2012 – China Safety Technology Group (CSTG), China’s leading company that designs and manufactures medication dispensing systems has tied-up with novaHEALTH to jointly offer their solutions to hospitals in China.

Dr Michael Wang, CEO of CSTG elaborated on the partnership, “I believe that the collaboration between novaHEALTH and China Safety Technology is a strategic step towards to jointly tackling the international market.”

He added, “Similar to novaHEALTH, CSTG is a high-technology company that has invested tremendously in developing their own independent intellectual property rights dedicated to improving healthcare. With VESALIUS Hospital Information System, we envisage that hospitals can enjoy better proposition in through an integrated solution with smart dispensers.”

Implemented in several local hospitals, CSTG latest series of products has garnered acclaims from both domestic and international medical institutions. CSTG innovates solutions for operating theatres, ICU, pharmacies and nurse stations in the wards. Such systems could dramatically reduce drug dispensing errors and enforce tighter control over the hospital’s medication inventory; and ultimately lowering the cost of patient care. CSTG has recently agreed to new co-operation with 3 hospitals in Beijing namely Peking University First Hospital, Beijing YouAn Hospital and Beijing Friendship Hospital to pilot the system.

Mr. Lai Teik Kin, CEO of novaHEALTH, “Increasing demands in patient safety and operational efficiency have seen convergence of systems to increase seamless info-sharing. It is important to ensure departments and healthcare workers are not kept in isolation when providing care to their patients so networking VESALIUS with CSTG’s medication dispensing systems is a logical step forward.”

“Through our co-operation, we are confident of increasing our product footprint in China,” Mr. Lai added, “and also offering an extension to our HIS solutions in markets outside of China.”
