ADVANCING REHABILITATIVE MEDICINE WITH VESALIUS

Oct 2017, Recently, ReGen Rehabilitation International (ReGen) signed an agreement with Nova to implement their VESALIUS Hospital and Clinical Information system in its first 96-bed rehabilitation hospital in the region. Located in the city of Petaling Jaya, it will have state of the art facilities supported by a team of medical specialists and professional therapists.

ReGen is a private specialty hospital company dedicated to the provision of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation medicine. It was formed to provide advanced rehabilitation medicine and bring dedicated, high-quality rehabilitation care to patients in Malaysia and the ASEAN region. VESALIUS will support the hospitals patient management, appointment scheduling and back office operations such as inventory management, integration to financial systems and billing. Managing insurance related transactions will be made easier as they are auto-tracked and billed in a timely manner.

Considering ReGen is a facility specialising in rehabilitation, emphasis will be given to allied health professionals as they provide individualised services to patients. Condition-specific templates will be used to document measurements and monitor outcomes according to personalised needs. The trending of collected data will give users the users to fine-tune rehab programs or tailor interventions to the individual’s progress. An electronic medical record (EMR) system will be deployed to comprehensively keep track of the patient’s treatments and providing caregivers instant access to medical history.

“We are proud to be selected as partner for ReGen and to work closely with their team to ensure they have a model platform that will act as a springboard their subsequent hospitals in the region,” said Mr. Jeffrey Khoo, Country Manager of Nova MSC.

The hospital is expected to open in mid-2018.
