|NOVACITYNETS, a wholly owned subsidiary of NOVA MSC, received a letter of award for a RM35.4 million contract for automation project
The Board of Directors of Nova MSC Berhad is pleased to announce that the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary novaCITYNETS Pte Ltd (“NCN”) has received a letter of award today from Sys-Mac Automation Engineering Pte Ltd in Singapore (“Sys-Mac”) to engage NCN as a contractor for the supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of a fully operational automated administration, labelling & sample processing system within 32 months plus 4-year maintenance contract post 12 months warranty period (“Contract”) for approximately RM20.8 million (approximately S$5.9 million)
Aside from the abovementioned amount, there is also an option to purchase optional items and services as well as extending the maintenance by another 5 years amounting to approximately RM14.6 million (approximately S$4.1 million).
NCN does not expect any material risk arising from the Contract other than the normal operational and execution risk associated with the Contract.
The Contract will not have any effect on the share capital and shareholding structure of Nova MSC Bhd. The Contract is expected to contribute positively to the result of the Group over the period.
None of the directors and/or substantial shareholders of Nova MSC Berhad or persons connected to the said directors and/or substantial shareholders have any interest, direct or indirect in the new order awarded.
