OTHERS NOVA MSC BERHAD (NOVAMSC OR THE COMPANY) CLARIFICATION ON THE ARTICLE IN THE STARBIZ DATED 8 SEPTEMBER 2020 : NOVA MSC UNIT WINS SPORE MINISTRY CONTRACT

Reference is made to an article titled “Nova MSC unit wins S’pore ministry contract” which appeared in The Starbiz on 8 September 2020 (“the Article”).

The Company would like to clarify that:-

1. The five-year contract as mentioned in the Article is awarded to EyRIS Pte Ltd (“EyRIS”) from Integrated Health Information Systems (“iHiS”) and not the Singapore’s Health Ministry. Due to commercial reasons, the contract sum are not revealed. iHiS is  is the technology agency for the public healthcare sector in Singapore.
2. The said contract is not expected to have any material impact to the Group’s upcoming financial performance. The press release was however issued with the intention to inform shareholders on the development of the Company, which was done from time to time, in line with the Company’s practices as a responsible corporate citizen. These practices helped to give an insight to our shareholders on the direction of the Group going forward.

Except for Mr Lai Teik Kin, who is also a shareholder and director of EyRIS, none of the directors and/or substantial shareholders of NOVAMSC or persons connected to the said directors and/or substantial shareholders have any interest, direct or indirect in the new contract awarded.
