Apr 2019–Originally located in the heart of Hong Kong island, Hong Kong Integrated Oncology Centre (HKIOC) has extended in the densely populated Kowloon to serve the community in the northern part of Hong Kong, on the mainland across Victoria Harbour.
Instead of implementing a local & separate IT system, users from this new medical centre connected to their centralised VESALIUS system via VPN. VESALIUS’ Multi-Organisation Architecture allowed HKIOC to create additional organisations or business units so there was minimal effort for system configuration e.g. drug master, service master, etc. Consequently, the implementation was much faster with efforts mainly going into end-user familiarisation and training.

HKIOC provides integral cancer care across disciplines with their all-encompassing range of services – from cancer prevention, screening, endoscopy, imaging and diagnosis to multidisciplinary treatment, all of which can improve patient outcomes.
With the Kowloon centre, the group now serves the community in 3 locations.
