21 Apr 2024 – Nova MSC provided eye screening for the members of Diabetes Malaysia (Penang Branch) during their Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Penang Adventist Hospital (PAH).
With the help from Diabetes Malaysia, 
we have managed to screen more than 20 of their members for eye diseases using SELENA+ an advanced diagnostic tool to autonomously detect diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and Aged-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) from fundus images from EyRIS.
Other meaningful activities were also included like an educational quiz on diabetes, health talk: “Understanding the Impact of Diabetes on Your Eyes” by
Dr. Wong Chin Lin, Consultant Ophthalmologist and more. The aim was to amplify awareness of complications to the eyes that diabetes can bring about and left untreated can lead to blindness.
The screening demonstrates the productivity gain in deploying a technology such as SELENA+ to our partners in Diabetes Malaysia Penang and Penang Adventist Hospital.
