Jul 2013 – Iskandar Malaysia is geared to become Malaysia’s fastest developing region, with investments pouring into building a vibrant metropolis
in a land area covering 2,217 sq. km – 3 times the size of Singapore. The population is expected to grow rapidly to support the development and
setting-up of new industries.
Tucked strategically in the township of Bandar Seri Alam with the Iskandar region, Regency Specialist Hospital (Regency) – a private tertiary care
hospital providing a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services is poised to take advantage of the expansion in the local community.
Earlier this year, Regency to meet the challenges of this anticipated growth awarded a contract to Nova to replace their existing HIS with
VESALIUS Hospital & Clinical Information System. As part of the project, Nova was also contracted to integrate other 3rd party systems such as
financials and laboratory with VESALIUS to provide a seamless environment of systems.
“It was a system makeover where Regency users and departments adopt some of the best practices using VESALIUS in streamlining their workflow to
improve data flow between departments. The outcome of info-sharing between clinical and business users in Regency have led to a very measurable
conclusion – improvement in patient service levels,” says Mr. Titus Tan, Nova’s Project Manager for the Regency project.
“With VESALIUS, we are enabling IT not only in the Business Office, but also the doctor clinics, clinical services departments and the wards,
the best treatment is made possible for the patients where medical professionals can focus on patient with medical information at their finger
tips,” he added.
The system successfully went LIVE on 3 July 2013.
