15 Apr 2024 – EyRIS is thrilled to announce our partnership with iCare in support of Sight For All’s mission to combat preventable blindness in Mongolia. We are humbled to be invited to participate in this meaningful community outreach project by way of contributing our flagship product SELENA+, an advanced diagnostic tool to autonomously detect diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and Aged-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) from fundus images.
Mongolia, home to 3.3 million people, grapples with significant barriers to accessing eye care and low awareness especially in rural regions where nearly one third of the population resides. With glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy ranking as the leading causes of blindness and vision impairment in the country, such initiatives carried out by Sight For All are crucial in addressing this urgent need.
Sight For All was founded in 2009 by 3 South Australian ophthalmologists with a shared passion for 
volunteer work after witnessing firsthand the staggering amount of treatable blindness in Myanmar. Sight For All’s purpose is to empower communities with the expertise to eliminate treatable blindness in all its forms. Their primary aim is to empower communities with the skills and equipment to eliminate avoidable blindness.
