Jun 2023 – NOVA MSC Berhad, together with our partner Theta Edge Berhad had a successful 3-day event from 30 May – 1 June at the APHM (Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia) International Healthcare Conference & Exhibition 2023, Kuala Lumpur. Organised under the apt theme, “New Dynamics in Delivery of Healthcare” to address this ever changing milieu of healthcare delivery, this event serves as an excellent platform for country’s healthcare professionals, operators and leaders to gather, exchange ideas and explore the latest trends emerging in the industry.
We had the opportunity to showcase solutions that transforms how an organisation can better deliver its services. On show were SELENA+, a deep learning solution for the detection of eye diseases, VESALIUS Hospital Information System, AVICENNA Specialist Clinic Management System and DEXIE Social Robot for the care industry and Smart Digital Devices.
As one of our key objectives was to let the public 
experience our latest offerings. For example, visitors had the opportunity to have their fundus images captured using the latest automated and integrated EyRIS camera and subsequently forwarding to the cloud-based SELENA+ AI. SELENA+ is a deep learning system, through analysis of colour retinal images can concurrently detect diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration.
The introduction of Social Robot from Dex-Lab which can be applied in the aged/dementia care settings, was yet another innovation introduced during the event. DEXIE is Dex-Lab’s first multi-competency social robot for dementia care that supports social interactions and leads group activities with dementia patients in a care environment.
